A little corner of the internet for people who think life is better with a bit of softness in it.
Mini Bear Hugs began the way a lot of lovely things do — with a half-finished crochet bear and a desk slowly being colonised by plushies. We're a small, fond magazine about cute culture in all its forms: kawaii aesthetics, handmade and craft, soft toys and collectibles, and the joyfully thoughtful gifts that bring people closer together.
We're not here to be precious about any of it. You don't need to be a master crafter or a serious collector to belong here. If a tiny smiling cloud on a notebook makes your day fractionally better, you're exactly our kind of reader.
Most of what you'll read here is written by Posy Bramble, a lifelong maker, magpie and unapologetic owner of far too many soft toys. The aim is simple: gentle, honest, genuinely useful writing about the cute and handmade things we love, with none of the snobbery and all of the warmth.
We always love hearing from fellow cute-culture enthusiasts, makers and gift-givers. Drop us a line any time at [email protected] — we read everything.
